The short version.
Monochrome Lab PRO is a dedicated black-and-white photo editor for photographers who want a focused monochrome workflow without the weight of a general-purpose editing suite.
A browser-based edition lets photographers experience the Monochrome Lab approach immediately. The macOS desktop edition adds full RAW support, a high-bit-depth processing workflow, Library & Collections, 3D LUTs, and a dedicated monochrome LUT workflow.

Monochrome Lab starts with black and white as the whole assignment. M2, M3, M4, Color Response, and Profiles establish how captured color becomes tone; Compare, Reference, Sync, and Batch Export carry those decisions across a body of work.
The release adds no photograph-content analysis, remote processing, or telemetry. Pick/Reject and color labels remain deferred. Virtual Copies, Capture Cleanup, Soft Proof, Zone System, and Spot Visualization are not part of 4.6. Historic recipes remain render-compatible.
