Compare, Reference, Sync, and Batch Export

The method

Step by step.

1. For Compare, select exactly two photographs in Library and choose View → Compare Selection. Use Activate Other to choose which side is editable; ratings and navigation follow the active photograph.
2. For Reference, open the photograph you want to edit, select a different Library photograph, and invoke Reference Selection. The reference is read only and shows its saved recipe.
3. Choose Linked when you want both views to zoom and pan together. Turn it off to inspect each image independently, and use Swap Sides when the visual comparison reads better in reverse.
4. To synchronize a look, keep the source photograph open, select destination photographs in Library, and choose Sync Settings. Review the destination count and groups before confirming. Crop, Masks, Spot Remove, and Layout are opt-in; ratings, tags, albums, and IPTC remain photograph-specific.
5. For delivery, select photographs in Library and use Export Selected. The background queue uses the same native-resolution, high-bit render path as single-image export, reports progress, and can be cancelled without starting new items.
6. Create an Export Preset when a delivery recipe will be reused. It can retain format, JPEG quality or 16-bit TIFF, color space, size, PPI, sharpening, filename, metadata, and destination behavior.
